The short version
Pin the Month is a set of calendar pages. You can read and print every page without giving us anything. We do not run analytics, we show no ads, and we have no accounts, forms or comment boxes.
Cookies and browser storage
This site does not set cookies. It also does not save anything in your browser through local storage, session storage or similar features, so there is no cookie banner and nothing to opt out of.
The Sunday/Monday switch on the calendars is a plain form control. Your choice lasts only while the page is open and is never sent to us.
Scripts
Two pages, Julian date today and ISO week number, load one small script from this site, today.js. It reads the date on your device so the "today" figures match your own calendar day, does the arithmetic in your browser, and stops there: it sends no data and keeps none. No other page runs a script. There is no code from advertisers, analytics companies or social networks anywhere on the site.
The typefaces are files on this site, so your browser does not contact a font service when a page loads.
Hosting
The pages are served by Cloudflare Pages. Every request passes through Cloudflare's network, which sees your IP address, your browser type and the address you asked for; it needs those to send the page back and to filter out abusive traffic. Cloudflare's own policy, at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy, covers that data. We have not turned on Cloudflare Web Analytics or any other visitor statistics, so we receive no reports about who reads which page.
Mail to hello@pinthemonth.com goes through Cloudflare Email Routing, which hands it to a mailbox hosted by Google (Gmail); Google stores the message under its privacy policy. We read what you wrote, answer it, and correct the calendar if you caught a wrong date; your address serves nothing else. There is no mailing list, and nobody gets signed up for one. If you want a message you sent deleted, say so and we will delete it.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, the legal basis for handling your email is our legitimate interest in answering it (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Nothing here asks for personal details, from children or anyone else.
Changes
If we ever add analytics, advertising or anything else that changes what is collected, this page will be updated first and the date at the top will change.
